If you don’t know by now, another white person is in deep shit for publicly saying the word nigga. While cheering on her ‘niggas’ during their Watch The Throne tour, she reportely tweeted ‘Niggas in Paris for real’.
Now concerned black folks everywhere is pissed off.
Here is my opinion about the situation.
Some people think of nigga, and it’s like another word for buddy.
‘What’s up my nigga’
‘That’s my nigga’
others may not take too kind to the word. We know where the word came from and what it was suppose to refer to. Not to mention, some people may think of everything that is ratchet and define that person as a nigga.
I honestly don’t use the word often in my vocabulary and I don’t think much of the word.
Yes I have been called a NIGGER to my face but the person (with a broken nose), was NEVER somebody I was cool with. If my good judy Amy (who is white) referred to me as as a nigga, it wouldn’t bother me no more then Pookie down the street calling me a nigga.
It’s just a word to me and it does not define me as a person. I know I am not ignorant and uneducated. I know that I am not ratchet (most of the time).
It’s the same feeling I have towards the word ‘faggot’. I know I am not a faggot so why get upset?
Should Gwyneth Paltrow tweeted ‘Niggas in Paris….’? Hell no. I think ALL celebrities should be ban from social media! I ain’t mad that she said it. She wasn’t talking about me.
People are too damn sensitive for all the wrong reasons.
White people can’t say it. Non-blacks can’t say it….hell black people can’t even say it…
This is what happens when black people use the ignorant excuse of “we’ve made the word a term of endearment.” Is it still a term of endearment when your white friend uses it in regards to you?
If you don’t want to hear the word nigga coming from a non-black individual, STOP USING THE WORD AROUND THEM. STOP USING THE WORD PERIOD AND SPREAD THAT MOVEMENT AROUND.
Until then sit your ass down, drink your 40 oz and chill the fuck out NIGGA!
